The little cat was in a desperate situation when a good Samaritan came across her. The rescuer had to turn to the internet for help. Fortunately, his post received a lot of attention from internet users right away, and coconut oil was suggested as a solution to help the kitten. The little cat was then given the name Coco by the rescuer as a way to keep in mind her unfortunate condition.

Coco received a number of prescriptions for medications, but her breathing problems persisted. A second urgent trip to the veterinarian was required.

She had her nasal passages cleaned and received a nebulizer treatment this time.

To everyone’s relief, these steps appeared to be effective as soon as Coco began to purr and learn how to clean herself.

When the kitten’s story spread to a larger Reddit audience, there was a huge outpouring of support. Many kind users offered to contribute and help with Coco’s medical expenses.

Her owner clarified that Coco was only taking two medications at this time: an immune booster, and daily vitamins.
