Many times, animal rescuers are overcome with emotion when they see how much an abandoned animal is suffering. These pets lack housing, food, and water, and some of them even have serious health conditions when left unattended. It is truly a miracle that these animals survived in such appalling conditions until someone discovered them and helped them. However, once these adorable friends are discovered and given a wonderful life, they have the opportunity to reveal their true selves. At that moment, we all agreed that this is how things ought to be and that they rightfully deserved to live happy, fulfilling lives.

Little Wanderers NYC received a call about a stray kitten in a neighborhood in the Bronx.

One day, Sunny, an animal rescuer from Little Wanderers NYC, received a call about a kitten discovered in a Bronx, New York, neighborhood. Together with a nearby cat colony caregiver, she acted quickly to rescue the tabby.

Due to the street cleaning, there were no kittens to be seen when they arrived. In order to get the kitten to come out, Sunny set some food down and began playing with cat sounds on her phone.

When the rescuers finally found the tabby, she immediately noticed her eyes.

“At first, she was thought to have a severe case of entropion (a condition in which the eyelid is turned inward). Once I saw her, I realized there was more going on with her eyes,” Sunny shared with Love Meow. Fortunately, the rescue team found that she was totally blind and that her eyes had ruptured.

The little cat was given the name Oracle, and when the little cat was taken to an animal hospital, she huddled in the corner of the carrier. “She was extremely scared because she didn’t know what was going on.” She was probably five months old when she received this critical medical attention.

“She likely would not have made it long (outside). Being blind and being a stray street cat is a recipe for disaster. She’s been rescued, and her life is forever changed.”

Tim, a public school teacher as well as an enthusiastic volunteer at the rescue, wants to take care of the kitten.

After being taken into Tim’s care, Oracle gradually began to interact with people and became accustomed to living indoors. The blind tabby, who had once been terrified, quickly emerged from her shell. She received a peaceful bedroom, wholesome food, and soft bedding from her adoptive father. And there is no wonder why the baby cat quickly grew fond of and trusted her foster father.

After experiencing the comforts of indoor life, Oracle’s self-assurance increased. As soon as she realized she was no longer required to hide or battle for survival, she began to investigate and sniff around her new home. She eventually climbed onto Tim’s lap and cuddled up in his arms.
