Striker Karim Benzema has officially said goodbye to Real Madrid after 14 years of service. During his time playing for the Spanish Royal team, the French striker won 24 big and small titles, including 5 Champions League championships. In 439 appearances for Real Madrid in all competitions, he scored 238 goals.

Benzema is preparing to reunite with his former teammate Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League, but is no longer on the same front line. Because the French striker will join Al Ittihad, the reigning Saudi Pro League champion, and participate in the AFC Champions League next season.

According to transfer expert  Fabrizio Romano , Benzema signed with Al Ittihad a 3-year contract worth 643 million USD.

This means Benzema will earn $214 million per year, or $4.12 million per week.

Initially, Saudi Arabian media reported that Benzema’s contract with Al Ittihad was only valid for 2 years. It is unclear whether there will be a change in the negotiation process regarding the contract term, or if the final year of the contract could be an extension clause, similar to Lionel Messi’s contract with PSG.
