Pogba was invited to Russia to play as an amateur

Broke Boys, a club belonging to the amateur Media Football League, has offered Paul Pogba a monthly salary of 1,500 USD and luxurious private accommodation.

“It was just a joke, but we called Pogba. However, he politely refused. Pogba is at a desperate moment and needs time to accept reality. It’s difficult for one of the best players in the world to The world cannot compete for that long,” Broke Boys Sports Director Artjom Chatjaturjan said on Tuttosport on March 10.

On February 29, the Italian Anti-Doping Court ruled to ban Pogba from competing for four years. Previously, the 30-year-old midfielder tested positive for doping on August 20, 2023 and temporarily stopped playing since September.

Pogba said he would appeal to the CAS Court of Sports Arbitration based in Switzerland. However, in case CAS sides with Pogba, the World Anti-Doping Agency WADA could sue the Swiss Federal Court.

Media Football League was founded in 2022, as a tournament for famous personalities from Russian social media and actors. This tournament is amateur, so Pogba can completely compete while banned from playing professional tournaments.

If he completes his four-year ban, Pogba can only return when he is 34 years old. Juventus is considering terminating the contract signed with Pogba, which is valid until 2026 with a salary of 11 million USD per year. Previously, during Pogba’s break from playing, Juventus only paid a salary of 2,700 USD per month according to the agreement between the clubs and the Players Association.
