Barca beat the Fourth Division club

SPAIN, the La Liga defending champion continued to fade with a hard-fought 3-2 win at Barbastro Stadium in the round of 1/16 of the Spanish King’s Cup.

Barca is predicted to win big at Gminny Stadium on January 7 because of the difference in class and squad depth between the two teams. Barca is the club with the richest tradition in the history of the King’s Cup with 31 times lifting the Cup, eight times more than the club ranked next, Bilbao. The team under Xavi is also the defending champion of La Liga and the Spanish Super Cup.

Meanwhile, Barbastro – a club born in 1934 – is playing in Segunda Federacion, also known officially as Segunda B, which is the fourth tier in the Spanish football league system with 90 teams divided into five groups.

In the most recent round of the King’s Cup, Barbastro shocked Almeria – another representative of La Liga – thanks to Franc Carbonell’s only goal. But not many people expect this club to continue to surprise Barca.

At Gminny Stadium yesterday, Barca dominated with 73% ball control, finishing 24 times with 11 hits on target. But they continued to show problems in both attack and defense, scoring only three goals and allowing Barbastro to concede twice from three shots on target.
